Wait Until I Grow Up

#

When Xu You was four and a half, she spotted a lonely, arrogant little boy in a corner of Yangshan Welfare Home, wild and untamed like a wolfdog.

He had short brown hair, eyes as light as his hair, and a bandage on his face. He was unlike anyone Xu You had ever seen.

He was just so, so handsome.

But this older boy often got into fights and never talked to the other children. Xu You had been pestering him all day and even gave him the last piece of candy in her pocket, but he still barely paid her any attention.

Then, while playing cops and robbers in the yard, she fell and scraped herself up badly. As all the children stood around helplessly, he was the first to come over. He scooped her up and treated her wounds.

On the day they parted, Xu You caught Li Xiu, who didn't look too happy, and took a new box of bandages from her pocket.

Xu You: I know you like fighting, big brother, so you can have these.

Li Xiu: ...I don't like fighting.

Xu You: Xiaoxiao's going away. Don't you have anything to say?

Li Xiu: What should I say?

Xu You: Like, say something nice about Xiaoxiao or say you'll miss her...

Four-and-a-half-year-old Xu You was at a loss for words. She couldn't think of anything clever to say.

Li Xiu looked at her adorable face, full of frustration, and the corner of his mouth lifted just a little. "All right. I know what to say."

He suddenly pulled her into his arms and stole a kiss on her cheek. "Xiaoxiao, wait for me to grow up."

When he grew up, he would give her the whole world.

#Sweet-and-salty, sunny, goofy little fairy x devastatingly handsome, mixed-blood wolfdog

#A sweet, fluffy romance. Xiaoxiao is Xu You's nickname.

#Will start posting once I have enough chapters saved up.

Theme: You are the salvation the sunlight brought me.
