Wu Qing was a young man. Because his fortune-telling was uncannily accurate, people nicknamed him Wu the Half-Immortal.
Unfortunately, he was destined to be plagued by misfortune, with no end to his bad luck, and so far nothing had helped...
One day, he happened to meet a white-robed gentleman named Ninth Young Master, and learned that this was the "destined one" who could defy fate for him and put an end to all the tragedies in his life.
Wu Qing's eyes lit up with excitement. He swore he would "win him over" no matter what!
After a long chase of give and take, Ninth Young Master finally gave up resisting and sighed, rubbing his brow. "All right, I accept your courtship. When do you plan to marry me?"
Instead, Wu Qing was so startled that he nearly jumped. "Who said I wanted to marry you?!"
Ninth Young Master: "Didn't you say you were determined to win me over?"
Wu Qing: "I meant win you over so you could become my ally!"
Ninth Young Master: "..."
Wu Qing: "..."
Ninth Young Master said expressionlessly, "The seventh day of this month is an auspicious date. Let's hold the wedding then."
Wu Qing: "...Big shot, I was wrong!"
He really didn't mean to give you the wrong idea. Please spare his life!
