Also known as: "The Years I Raised Divine Beast Baby Sun Wukong in Journey to the West"
Let's try something different this time: no journey for the scriptures. Just romance, livestreaming, making money, raising a kid, and climbing to the top of the world~
Mu Chan, a time traveler, wakes up reborn as a character in a boys' love spin-off of a famous classic: an omega with the rarest lotus-scented pheromones.
The System assigns him the task of helping his character ascend to Buddhahood in the end.
To escape the pursuit of all those troublesome Alphas and stop being controlled by his pheromones, Mu Chan decisively chooses Buddhist cultivation, which will help him clear his mind of worldly desires and greatly increase his power. He finds a rocky mountain far from human habitation and makes it his secluded retreat.
He never imagined that one day the huge boulder standing atop the mountain, which he often used to absorb the essence of heaven and earth and help him cultivate, would suddenly split in two. A fluffy, golden-furred baby monkey appears before him: an Alpha whose pheromones are the strongest in all six realms...
From the day the little monkey jumps out of the stone, heaven and earth tremble, and the sun and moon shine together. Even the Heavenly Emperor, whose pheromones are the strongest in the six realms, is alarmed. Feeling threatened, he insists that the little monkey is a demon monkey born to bring disaster and must be eliminated, or the Three Realms will suffer a great calamity.
But Mu Chan, the only one unaffected, protects the little monkey out of great love (not really).
From then on, he begins the long task of raising a child on this rocky mountain.
For the little monkey's physical and mental well-being, he first transforms the barren rocky mountain into Flower-Fruit Mountain. More and more spirit beasts and demons are drawn there by the pheromones Mu Chan releases without meaning to.
They all want to claim this white-haired immortal for themselves: his pheromones are rare, and he is gentle and breathtakingly beautiful.
But once they catch another whiff of the incredibly powerful, intimidating pheromones coming from the little monkey in the immortal's arms, their legs go weak and their hearts pound with fear. None of them dares to make trouble again.
Then, as the little monkey grows bigger and Mu Chan continues to spoil him, the mountain spirits and demons, who are being tormented by the little monkey day in and day out, start complaining to Mu Chan, their doting dad.
Even the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, his neighbor, can't escape having several whiskers plucked out in his sleep. The King of Hell, whose underworld the little monkey nearly set on fire, threatens to join forces with the Dragon King and report him to Heaven.
At last, Mu Chan hardens his heart and decides to send this little Monkey King, whom he can barely control anymore, to his senior brother's Fangcun Mountain for strict discipline. But he secretly transforms into someone else to stay by the little monkey's side.
Life on Fangcun Mountain is strict, but fulfilling.
Then, during a demonic invasion, the little monkey goes missing, and Mu Chan can no longer find any trace of him.
Hundreds of years later, the little monkey suddenly returns to Flower-Fruit Mountain, now grown into a full-sized monkey.
The once golden-furred monkey, now violent-tempered, actually believes that Mu Chan deliberately abandoned him when he was little.
And he even wants to join forces with others to kill him.
What a huge misunderstanding! Mu Chan can't convince him no matter what he says, and he nearly has his dharma body broken...
Rebellious and unruly Sun Wukong (younger, tsundere) x peerless Buddhist disciple Jin Chanzi (gentle and powerful)
The author is indulging in a self-indulgent fantasy just to have fun. The tropes are old-fashioned, and there are many original settings and plotlines.
Don't look for logic or overanalyze. Raising a monkey from afar, livestreaming, fighting monsters, leveling up: a chaotic mix, ABO, pseudo Journey to the West.
Theme: Strive tirelessly and stand firm with courage.
