The Tortured Manga Artist Is at Death's Door

Li Mengli is a manga artist everyone loves to hate, famous for his passion for torturing protagonists. One day, during rush hour on the subway, Li Mengli, with a briefcase tucked under his arm, was accidentally sent flying by a fat man. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..." A hand with distinct knuckles but covered in knife scars appeared before Li Mengli. A decorative knife cut? He did those all the time, so it wasn't anything unusual. "Thank you." He was helped to his feet. When he looked up, he saw his own debut work, drawn when he was seventeen. The man recalled the things netizens were always shouting online: [The characters Li Mengli draws won't let him off even as ghosts. The first thing they'll do when they climb out of the screen is kill Li Mengli! Or fuck him to death!] Oh no! This is a blurb for Please Begin Your Performance. The central hook is unchanged, but the blurb has been rewritten, and both leads are their original selves turned up to the max. Theme: Don't do evil just because it's small.
