Lin Sui has average grades, but she's friendly and gets along with everyone.

But there's one person she can't stand: Xia Xingchen, whose grades are terrible and who never tries to improve.

Xia Xingchen is always late or leaving early, sleeps through class, and ranks last on every exam.

He also has someone he hates most: Lin Sui, who puts on a fake smile every day.

Lin Sui: Maybe you should study harder, or Shandong Lanxiang is waiting for you.

Xia Xingchen: If I go to Lanxiang, you'll be going to New Oriental. Who are you looking down on?

Later...

One wins first prize in the physics competition and is admitted early to Tsinghua University.

The other wins first prize in the biology competition and is admitted early to Peking University.

The whole school is shocked, and even the two deskmates are astonished.

Xia Xingchen shrugs: "What can I say? My future wife doesn't like excavators."

Lin Sui rolls her eyes: "Funny, my future husband doesn't like New Oriental either."
