My Zerg Roommate Seems Like an Irritable Cat

[This novel will be completed and locked on July 26, starting from Chapter 20. Please bookmark my new danmei fantasy novel, How Do I Deal with an Insectoid Executive Who Looks Like a Bull? Come snuggle with me, little angels~] [This novel does not use the female-male insectoid setting! It's about strange, nonhuman creatures. The beginning is very chuuni, but it gets sweeter later~] Three hundred years after the apocalypse ended, Yang Yue wakes from a deep sleep and discovers that his fear of nonhuman creatures still hasn't gone away. He's forced to attend a university full of hybrids. Rumor has it that sea monsters and birdmen are everywhere on campus, while insectoids and other strange creatures are as common as dogs. When Yang Yue sees the word "Insectoid" in parentheses next to his dorm assignment, his vision goes black. All he wants is to apply for immediate withdrawal. But after moving in, prepared to meet his doom, Yang Yue discovers that his insectoid roommate isn't as terrifying as he'd imagined. The guy is a handsome, cold-faced type, ruthless and taciturn, occasionally bad-tempered, and, most importantly, a phenomenal cook who makes delicious food! So in Yang Yue's diary, his roommate Gu Xiao's image goes from "terrifying nonhuman roommate" and "horrifying, murderous fiend" to "bad-tempered kitty who can cook and says one thing but means another." Until one day, Yang Yue accidentally catches sight of Gu Xiao's true insectoid form. Eight sharp, spiderlike limbs replace his long legs. His dark pupils are overlaid by crimson slits. He is sinisterly beautiful, his expression indifferent and cold. Yang Yue: . Yang Yue: He's actually really hot. - Gu Xiao knows that Yang Yue has a severe phobia of nonhuman creatures, so he never shows him his insectoid form. But after falling in love with Yang Yue, he hesitates for a long time before finally deciding to reveal the true appearance he has kept hidden. Watching the young man's pupils contract, Gu Xiao braces himself for him to turn pale with fear, retch, or scream and run away. But he never expected Yang Yue to reach out curiously and touch his sharp, spiny insectoid limbs, as though he were looking at roses in bloom in a garden. "Is this your insectoid form? It's beautiful." Gu Xiao: . Gu Xiao: Can I touch you again? Reading guide: Bad-tempered kitty insectoid gong (Gu Xiao) x phobic-of-nonhumans-but-then-finds-them-irresistible beauty shou (Yang Yue) 1. A sweet little story, 1v1, Gu Xiao x Yang Yue, happy ending. Mainly about falling in love. 2. A campus setting with a mix of birdfolk, insectoids, and aquatic folk. Later on, the gong dotes on the shou, quq, a lot. 5. The blurb has been rewritten many times for various reasons. This version is the one to go by! Theme: Healing and redemption.
