Because this story spans such a long period of time, the writing style in the early chapters is quite different from that in the later ones.
I couldn't bring myself to read it anymore, so I've started revising it. Chapters without numbers in their titles have been revised.
Although I'm pretty much an annual updater by now, I still haven't forgotten this story after all these years. I will most likely finish it eventually, though I have no idea how long that will take.
If I were going to abandon it, I probably would have done so long ago. After all, I started writing it back in the 2000s. It's been a really long time, and I was still underage when I wrote the first chapter.
I also want to thank the readers who kept reading after the early chapters and left me messages. I'm truly grateful. Without you, I might really have abandoned it. Your comments gave me so much encouragement. Especially given how slowly I update, most readers have been patient and supportive rather than cursing or blaming me. That gave me a lot of strength. And after all these years, when I searched the Hunter category, I found that this story was still ranked fairly high and had plenty of favorites. Thank you so much.
P.S. I'm so happy that I got to see Togashi-sensei resume serialization in my lifetime! I'm overjoyed!

Like a blue act of violence
The heart's weakness shatters in an instant, leaving behind coldness and lies
At the boundary between this world and another, the philosopher said,
“What does not kill me makes me stronger.”
The tenderness that once filled my whole heart falls away, a drumbeat striking a bird's wings from the sky, becoming a cold white gleam on the blade
Amid the chaos, I finally learned the language of violence, cruelty, and forgetting
The dim sky, the urge to die, the desire to kill
An ancient, unending curse taking hold in the body
A rotten, cloying sweetness wafts through the air, making even the atmosphere thick and indistinct
“What does not kill me”
Those distant songs, my mother's words, the wounds, and the sickness
“Will make me stronger”
At last, they dissipate into the wind
Whirlwinds twist the clouds' patterns, forcing them to gather and scatter; the whole sky heaves like the surface of the sea
On the verge of collapse
“None of that killed me”
A flower can no longer slowly open
A ray of light can no longer shine upon the earth
A word can no longer point the way
“What finally killed me was...”
The boy's gaze passes through the vortex, reflecting back from another world at the edge of the sky, a cold blue
The sky has turn so blue
Excerpt from The Poet of the Doomed Boy, partially revised
I have read it so many times and only today I discovered that the main body Feitan is actually unscientific.
Although it's still within my lifetime, I'm still happy to see updates.
This is the fourth year, when will it be updated?
Restoration will indeed be difficult. But I always feel that such a high-quality product should not be abandoned halfway.
It's hard to imagine that when I just read this article, I was probably in junior high school. Now I am almost graduating from college. I'm still waiting for you.
I relived it again, it looks so good 😳😳😳
Updated!!!! (((O(*?▽?*)O)))
This good article has been updated. I'm so touched. It's great. Come on (
I started watching it from junior high school, and now that I'm in college, do you still update it?
This life has passed by waiting and waiting, and you haven't updated yet. . .
