The Fierce Little Widow of the Seventies

In her previous life, Xu Li did Gu Yinyin a favor.

In this life, Gu Yinyin hears someone mock Xu Li for being an old bachelor. Eager to repay her debt, she gives Xu Li a fierce kiss in front of everyone. “Who says he’s an old bachelor? He has me!”

And so, the young widow Gu Yinyin drags old bachelor Xu Li off to register their marriage.

Everyone privately pities Xu Li, figuring that a quiet, taciturn man like him is sure to be bullied by the brash, fiery Gu Yinyin.

But after they marry, Xu Li is always beaming, while Gu Yinyin looks listless and isn’t nearly as feisty as she used to be.

Gu Yinyin: Sob, sob, she wants to, but she just can’t.

Theme: Keep your feet on the ground and make the most of every day.
