Excerpt 1: "Mylno, how could you accept someone else's invitation? They're all after something!"
"James, give it back! Someone else gave it to me, and you have no right to take it away," Mylno retorted.
"No right? Who says?" As he spoke, he took Mylno by surprise and pulled her into his arms.
"Do you know why you haven't received any love letters all these years? Because I wouldn't allow it!" He finished speaking and looked at Mylno, her face bright red in his arms. Their eyes met, and suddenly, everything became clear.
Excerpt 2: Mylno came out of the infirmary and walked straight toward James. "James, did you deliberately knock Ethan off his broom?"
The smile on James's face instantly stiffened.
"What are you talking about? I've never done that. Mylno, you haven't even asked me anything. How do you know I did it?"
With that, he turned and walked away.
"Why didn't you ask me what happened before you came over to accuse me? We've grown up together. Don't you know me by now?"
Mylno watched James walk away, lost in thought.
