The Emperor of Chu has barely ascended the throne when his own father pulls a fast one on him, arranging for him to marry the Yun family's youngest daughter, a spoiled and ill-mannered young lady. On their wedding night, the bride falls asleep on her own, earning the Emperor's displeasure, and she keeps getting into trouble everywhere.
As soon as Yun Wanwan enters the palace, she's terrified of the fearsome King of Hell, but she can't rein in her mischievous nature, and the Emperor finds fault with her at every turn.
At night, in the Emperor's bedchamber, Yun Wanwan lowers her head, clutching a pillow as she curls up in the corner of the bed. "This concubine knows she was wrong."
