My next positive-energy story, The Things That Happen at the Prosecution Office, is looking for readers! If you're interested in law, please add it to your reading list.
A cocky, handsome, tsundere demon king x a clever, quick-witted animal keeper
Wei Lan transmigrates into a modern urban demon-hunting novel, becoming a villainous true heiress from a wealthy family who doesn't even survive a chapter.
In the story, the true heiress was switched at birth and grew up in the countryside, living a rough life. Her parents found her and brought her home when she was nineteen. They tried their best to make up for the years they'd lost, but she realized everything had already been decided: the things that should have belonged to her had all gone to the fake heiress.
Bitter and resentful, the true heiress plotted against the heroine and used underhanded tactics to steal the demon-hunter hero. In the end, though, the hero and heroine exposed her schemes together, leaving her abandoned by everyone and doomed to a miserable end.
"Oh, hell no!"
After sorting out the plot, Wei Lan refuses to be a cannon-fodder villainess. Driven by a fierce will to survive, she turns around and throws in her lot with the male and female leads' mortal enemy, the king of the demon clan, willingly becoming his servant.
Wei Lan, obediently: "I can cook, sweep, and do the laundry..."
The Demon King, disdainfully: "I have plenty of servants."
"Then..." Wei Lan thinks it over, takes off her clothes, and climbs onto the man's bed.
The Demon King stares at her, wide-eyed. "What are you doing?"
Wei Lan: "Your Majesty has a cold constitution and cold hands and feet. You can't sleep well at night because you're cold. Don't you need someone to warm your bed?"
The Demon King suddenly feels a rush of heat, blood spurting from his nose. He kicks Wei Lan off the bed and snarls, "You! Go work as a laborer at the demon shelter!"
Wei Lan gets her wish and goes to work as a dorm supervisor at the demon shelter. She hits it off with the little demons and treats them like old friends.
Little gifts from the demons often appear outside her room: a dying mouse, a stinking salted fish, a nearly wilted flower, a chipped knife, and even a pile of poop...
Whenever she has nothing to do, she pets all kinds of fluffy creatures: a cat today, a dog tomorrow, a big gray wolf the day after... Whenever she does, the little demons line up as if by unspoken agreement, waiting for her to choose them.
One day, for some reason, a snow-white nine-tailed fox appears in the line. It carries a comb and carefully grooms its nine huge tails.
The other little demons all say they've never seen it, but it doesn't care in the slightest. It looks down on everyone. Damn right, its fur is the best to pet.
Reading Guide:
1. Set in a modern city where humans and demons live together.
2. The world is original, with plenty of author-created details. Please don't take it too seriously.
3. The male lead cruelly torments the heroine at first. You know what happens later: a groveling redemption arc, but the angst won't last long.
4. If something hits a sore spot, I'm not saying you can't criticize it, but please be gentle. I'm old, and my heart is very fragile.
5. I'll add more if I think of anything.
I hope you enjoy the story, do great on your exams, and find all your dream guys!
Theme: Punish evil and promote good, treat all living beings as equals, and fight for your lawful and reasonable rights.
The result was brewing for more than half a year
The subject matter is very good, but the content is a bit old-fashioned, and the heroine has a strange feeling that she is very powerful and weak at other times. I hope she can write better.
Isn't this just, oh, woman, you have successfully aroused my temptation?
