A Guide to Landing a Civil Service Job in the Underworld

At first, Bai Tang thought the only unscientific thing in the world was that his hair kept falling out like crazy, yet he never went bald. Then he graduated from college and moved into that dorm... Thanks to his inexplicable ability to charm everyone, Bai Tang won over the elementary school kid upstairs, captivated the big sister downstairs, and became like a brother to the gym owner across the hall. It seemed his new life as a future pillar of socialist society was still bathed in the Party's glorious light. That is, if he hadn't seen the elementary school kid upstairs chopping off a hand with a cleaver and slicing it into lotus-root-shaped pieces, the clinic big sister's view beneath her skirt looking like a scene from Anaconda, and Big Brother Ying across the hall making it rain with a single sneeze. The white lion cat Bai Tang had forgotten his proud identity as the rat-catching officer of Kaifeng Prefecture, but the blood of an Imperial Guard with a tail still boiled in his veins.
