*My first romance novel, inspired by an idea that came to me in a dream.
Xian Tianzhen was adopted by Officer Chen when she was thirteen. She fell in love with him at twenty, and at twenty-five, willingly went undercover for his sake.
Unfortunately, the gang boss wasn't interested in her. Cursing outside a bar, Xian Tianzhen ran into Mo Qi.
The woman rejected by the boss got together with a nobody street punk, a goofy, clueless young man. During that time, Xian Tianzhen felt like something was wrong with her head, but in the best way: she was carefree and happy.
The worlds of black and white are destined to clash. After a major police raid, both Mo Qi and the boss disappeared. Xian Tianzhen left Officer Chen's protection and headed for a city in the south.

Mo Qi ran with a gang under his half-brother's command. At eighteen, he met the woman who stole his heart. First love, sweetness, lies, betrayal. After his brother died, he shed his naive exterior and became an adult overnight.
Six years later, he'd established himself in the city. The street punk had become a promising young professional, and everything was going smoothly, until one day a cleaning lady stopped him.
"Boss, could you pay me for the years of my youth, emotional damages, and nourishment?"
Mo Qi recognized that familiar face. His expression grew colder and colder.

"Hey, how old is your boss? Did he come from City N? What kind of women does he like?" Xian Tianzhen asked the valet, wiping down the glass with a rag.
"Seriously, ma'am? Are you trying to hit on our boss? Even cleaning ladies don't want to work hard these days?"
"What, you think I'm too old? Can't I have a second chance at love?" Xian Tianzhen laughed. "My daughter has always wanted a dad. I've decided: your boss will do."
Reader advisory:
1. One-on-one romance with an old-school melodramatic feel, sweet and angsty. The angst may rely on familiar tropes, but I'll do my best to make it feel less clichéd.
2. A romance between a woman and a man seven years younger. Please don't force yourself to read it if that's not your thing.
3. This is my first romance, so please be kind.
Theme: From beginning to end, it was the older sister who was smitten
