Yuan Ziyou, Emperor Xiaozhuang of Northern Wei, lost his father in childhood. After years of painstaking effort, he became emperor of Northern Wei with a bloodline that, in some sense, was neither legitimate nor proper. In the end, he fell so far that he had almost nothing left. In a life of less than twenty-four years, he experienced no shortage of people and events, and can be considered a legendary emperor in the history of the Northern and Southern Dynasties. This is a novel that may be quite long, with reflections on the impermanence of life perhaps more important than the romantic plot. BL is the focus, with BG as a secondary element. I will strive for realism and restrained, precise writing.
Theme: The world is impermanent, and what we gain is often different from what we seek.
