Yu Lou actually fell in love with Shen Chunxiu a long time ago,
but for certain reasons (which will be explained later), he couldn't recognize his feelings.
Xiuxiu is quite young and has little romantic experience, so he couldn't tell how Lou Lou felt about him either.
Lou Lou does reciprocate his feelings, but can't bring himself to make a commitment.
He's not a scumbag and hasn't violated any moral or legal boundaries, so the groveling-to-win-him-back arc is fairly short.
The story mainly focuses on Lou Lou seducing Xiuxiu.
