Crafting Cheats by Hand, Doing Research with the Distillery, and Becoming the Black Moonlight

[The update time has temporarily changed to 9:00 p.m.] "The whole point of establishing the distillery was to research bringing people back from the dead and reversing time. What kind of place would it be if everyone spent all day fighting? As head of the research department, it's only natural for me to use a few tricks to foster a research atmosphere, set academic trends, investigate tales of immortality around the world, and help colleagues in every department return to our original purpose, right?" Aptitude-enhancing pheromones, artificial suppressants, human hibernation pods, brain development, nerve regeneration, biological auxiliary brains, exoskeletons, artificial systems, rejuvenation drugs, memory-altering agents, virtual reality training grounds, artificial intelligence, elixirs of immortality... Distillery employee Bai Zhouyin is obsessed with crafting cheat abilities by hand. He even goes so far as to kill the Boss and seize power, all so his research results and byproducts can benefit the public and give back to society. Years later, as he gazes at the Black Organization's conglomerate, the Karasuma Group, which now dominates the world of scientific deduction, he can't help but reflect. Just as he's preparing to retire after accomplishing everything, he realizes he's already caught in an ultimate romantic battlefield involving genuine and fake liquor coworkers, exes, deputies, trusted aides, and juniors. Bai Zhouyin: "Didn't I already tell you we'd part on good terms / that it was just genetic sexual attraction / that I only saw you as a coworker / that Stockholm syndrome is no good / that it was only a fling...?" Mr. Koto, who has been forced to churn out papers on tactical training methods in every possible environment all night long to get his bottomless excess operational expenses reimbursed, gives a cold laugh. "You have to pay the price eventually." Important warnings: The author is a sucker for melodrama. The story balances romance and career, but features a deranged romantic battlefield and tangled relationships. Akai-sensei is an ex-husband who gets a head start! Relationships and breakups ahead! Cross-dressing deception ahead! An academic Lu Zhiyi ahead! Some of the relationship details are described below. Other warnings: Whiskey, but genuine liquor. No defection, but a coup. He should count as a third party who went public through a shell company (?) (This is a research liquor steeped in academia! The protagonist isn't a bad person and doesn't like bad people!) There are a few supernatural elements, but anything that defies common sense is toned down enough to be explained through scientific deduction and Magic Kaito. The original plot and timeline have been heavily altered, with new takes on the distillery and the Boss. Warning: the distillery has been strengthened to an epic degree! Relationship descriptions (?) follow: "Stories of how I, a genuine liquor tasked with investigating tales of immortality, killed the Boss to fulfill my personal ambitions, only to be seen as the dark moonlight by my genuine and fake coworkers and get caught in a love-hate romantic battlefield." Mr. Matsuda: He hits it off with an online friend after a plane crash. Their growing affection blossoms through their conversations, but he has no idea that his online friend is a high-ranking member of a criminal organization. His instincts sound the alarm, but reason suppresses his doubts. Torn between the two, when will the police officer finally discover the truth? Mr. Hagiwara: He accidentally witnesses the object of his love at first sight in a situation that could get them arrested and tortured. He narrowly escapes being killed, but is seriously injured. While recovering in a sanatorium that claims to be holding him but is actually protecting him, he gradually discovers another truth. It looks like Stockholm syndrome and Lima syndrome, but in reality...? Mr. Akai: On his first day infiltrating the organization, he discovers that the woman he fell in love with ten years ago is now his male superior. Thinking he's about to be exposed on the spot, he takes a desperate gamble and seduces him to rekindle their romance. To his surprise, it works, and he gains ten years of experience as a whiskey out of nowhere. As a false affection turns sincere and hesitation becomes resolve, he takes aim at the one he loves, only to be framed by an informant and forced to flee. Will he still remember the time they once spent together? Mr. Morofushi: On his first day infiltrating the organization, he physically sells himself to his superior's mysterious experiment to obtain information. After becoming a new human with perception-enhancing abilities worth tens of billions, he discovers his superior's astonishingly ambitious goal. Three years, then another three years. Every day, he tells himself not to be seduced by his superior's grand promises. But he's already become the second-in-command undercover. Why hasn't anyone told him it's time to move in? Mr. Furuya: On his first day infiltrating the organization, his superior Rum tells him to take the place of another high-ranking member as a way to go undercover. After giving it everything he's got and nearly succeeding, he discovers that "taking his place" doesn't mean becoming his lover, but becoming his family. Blood is thicker than water, and a fake relationship becomes real. He originally meant to use this mission to turn his target into a double agent, but by a twist of fate, he draws him even deeper into the mire. Will he feel guilty, or use this family bond to bring down the organization? Childhood friend Kurosawa: ...?
