Searching the World for My Amnesiac Husband [Quick Transmigration]

Lu Siyi is a corporate drone who has to toil away drawing designs every day.

One day, he receives a job offer. The employer says it's an easy job with great pay.

The work is simple: Stay by someone's side, using whatever means necessary.

Lu Siyi senses something is off.

But the pay is too good to pass up, so he takes the part-time job.

So Lu Siyi's actual job is to travel to different worlds and find his amnesiac boyfriend.

In that world, he and someone else pursued their ideals together. They worked tirelessly and faced countless setbacks and obstacles. In the end...

One day, the amnesiac top suddenly has memories that don't belong to him flash through his mind. He's a big cat, stealing a glowing little fluffball from a place full of glass.

The little fluffball is scared, so he picks it up in his mouth and runs and runs, with lots of people chasing after them.

When he finally gets the fluffball to safety, he lets it out and gently pats the drenched, adorable little fluffball with his big paw, soothing it.

Someone shakes Lu Siyi awake: ??? What were you doing just now? Were you... kneading dough?

*Bonus Scene 2

Lu Siyi has never figured out why he likes taking baths. All he can do is explain it logically: warm water makes him feel comfortable and safe.

Later, after he becomes that guy's shadow, he suddenly realizes he doesn't seem to enjoy baths as much anymore!

Lu Siyi: (0д0)!

Much later, the Administrator finally tells him with the look of someone who's just uncovered some ancient gossip: "It's because someone once carried you out to safety in his mouth."

Lu Siyi: ?

"Ew! Does that mean I was covered in his saliva?!"

Wanghai is the sea closest to the Western Continent, home to a merfolk tribe.

Buto's father was the former leader of the merfolk. Now he's dead.

He died on the Western Continent, in human territory.

So after inheriting his father's position, Buto has two wishes:

First, find out how his father died and avenge him.

Second, find the treasure map his father drew and lead the tribe to glory.

And so Buto, a male mermaid, disguises himself as a pretty little mermaid and approaches a human ship...

Buto's first day aboard: The humans' fried yellow croaker is delicious! I'm staying.

Buto's second day aboard: Why are humans so disgusting?! I should leave after all.

Buto's third day aboard: Hm? What are you talking about? A treasure map?

How am I supposed to leave now?!

Worldbuilding:

A little Western fantasy, though probably not proper Western fantasy. The story focuses on the border between the continent and the ocean, and most of it takes place underwater.

Humans and merfolk know about each other, and most of them can coexist peacefully.

Other:

No romance. The little fish is very vain.

This is a change-of-pace project and won't be very long. I'm bad at worldbuilding, blurbs, and structure. My ultimate goal is to make everything fit together by the end, so please go easy on me.
