As the last crow spirit in heaven and earth, Bai Heihei has a real gift for cursing people.
A kind Immortal Venerable plans to take her as his disciple and spare her a life of wandering. Overjoyed, she packs her bags and sets off to join him, only to hear along the way that a respected figure from the Immortal Realm died heroically in a great battle against the demons.
Bai Heihei: "No way, no way. There's no way my master just happened to be the one who died, right?"
-- Confirmed.
With no choice but to turn back, she passes a mountain temple and, after much thought, decides to shave her head and become a nun, spending her life in the company of Buddhist chants. Then she happens to hear a visitor say that the area is haunted.
Bai Heihei: "No way, no way. There's no way the ghost just happens to be hiding in this temple, right?"
-- The temple's abbot is possessed by a ghost in the middle of the night.
Bai Heihei asks herself: she's been a vegetarian and prayed to Buddha her whole life, never deliberately killing or doing evil. The only problem is that her tongue is a little too sharp. As if it weren't enough that the world can't stand her, she's also ended up connected to so many deaths. She can't become an immortal, either, and life is just no fun!
Just as she's about to leap off a cliff and end her miserable life, a thunderous sound suddenly rings through the sky. A man in black makes a dazzling entrance (crossed out) -- and falls from the heavens!
Huh, he's dressed all in black. Could he be a crow spirit too?
Hmm, he's quite handsome. I'll take him home and keep him for a while!

Since taking over as Demon King, Lan Yan has stirred up the waters of the Yellow Springs and splashed about in the Jade Yao Pool. He's been living a wild, carefree life, doing whatever he pleases, invincible in heaven and earth -- until a certain crow spirit picked him up and took him home.
"Lanlan, watch out, there's a hole up ahead~" -- smack, he falls in
"Lanlan, it's so cold here. Do you think it'll snow?" -- a raging blizzard all night
"Lanlan, look, could that be the ancient divine beast Taotie?" -- Roar! (Taotie bellows)
Lan Yan swears! He has! Never! Been! This! Unlucky!

At first, Bai Heihei just wanted to keep one of her own kind for fun. But the longer she keeps him, the more she realizes something isn't right.
Why is Lan Yan looking at her more and more... hungrily?
"No way, no way. He can't be thinking of eating me, can he?"
-- Lan Yan breathes in the sweet scent at her neck and says in a husky, dangerously sexy voice, "Where should I start?"
Bai Heihei: Waaah...
