Two Monsters

Blurb: A friendly reminder: this story contains no supernatural elements!

Fang Yan had lost his memory. All he knew was that he had woken up in a psychiatric hospital, where a group of drooling people pointed at him and called him a "little monster." Later, he learned that his heart had stopped for ten minutes. He couldn't remember anything that had happened before, and everyone was convinced he was a monster who had returned in another body to exact revenge. Fine, a monster. But why did they have to call him a "little" monster?

There was a monster at the Second Psychiatric Hospital of Jiugong City, Lu Ziyuan, who claimed he could see ghosts and spent all day muttering to himself. He once had the entire hospital in an uproar. One day, a "big" was added to the front of his special designation, because a little monster had arrived at the psychiatric hospital.

Lu Ziyuan went to take a look right away. The little monster was pretty handsome.

"I heard you're a vengeful ghost who came back in another body to exact revenge?"

"There's no such thing as ghosts."

"There's one right behind you."

"Oh."

"Aren't you scared?"

"I didn't build this road. If you can walk it, I can walk it, and ghosts can walk it too. We're all just passing through. Why should I be scared of him? Why shouldn't he be scared of me?"

Lu Ziyuan regarded Fang Yan with newfound respect.

The one with the "yin-yang eyes" saw a "ghost," and from then on the big monster had a little monster of his own.
