A side story to HP: Love Beyond Romance, though you can also read HP: Love Beyond Romance (the Marauders' Era) as the prequel to this story (the Next Generation). A word of warning: it's best not to read both stories at once, as this one contains spoilers, especially since its opening practically gives away the ending of HP: Love Beyond Romance! I won't put the other spoilers in the blurb. I decided to write this because HP: Love Beyond Romance has a rather oppressive overall atmosphere, and the heroine's character setup means the ending can't be too happy. Even though I've already figured out how to give it a happy ending, I could just write another story for that, and this is it. So I decided to write them separately. It's also a shame that the heroine misses out on the story of the professor's generation. This story will be lighter and sillier, which should also help me shake off the oppressive feeling of writing the heroine through so much angst in Love Beyond Romance. Updates whenever I can; Love Beyond Romance is my priority. The name Ophelia comes from Hamlet and has nothing to do with the plot. It's just a hint at the heroine's somewhat unstable personality. She really does have some issues, which will be explained in the story, and she'll get better. The male lead is Severus. Major warning: Harry's parents are both alive, and Harry grows up happily with them. Severus never loved Lily; he only loves the heroine, and his Patronus is not a doe!
