This was Kiyohara Kana a year ago. He remembered her vividly.

Before Kiyohara Kana suddenly left Teitan High School for some reason, he'd labeled her calm, composed, unruffled, even a little indifferent. And, on top of that, a little fond of him. (Shinichi Kudo was feeling pretty pleased with himself.)

But things were different now. Conan Edogawa felt a little hurt as he thought, She's even colder now, and she doesn't like me anymore.

Kiyohara Kana liked Shinichi Kudo, but that was a long time ago.

That day, Kiyohara Kana wore a shrine maiden's outfit and held a kagura flute. Facing the setting sun, she played the dusk into being.

"I love you."

But no love song followed. The heroine had left the stage early.

Please note:

Shinichi Kudo x an original heroine who seems cold and aloof, has a ton of inner monologue and a serious snark streak, and thinks she's incredibly badass, but actually is incredibly badass. She's also a rich young lady (not really). The Shinichi-Ran relationship is friendship only.

There are plenty of stories where an original heroine confesses to Shinichi, gets rejected, and then he has to grovel for her. But why can't we make the Washing Machine be the one to take the hit for once?
