Note: This fanfic does not share a universe with the neighboring story, "HP: The Time Curse." The young Dumbledore here will not grow up to become the old Dumbledore over there! This is simply a light, sweet little romance.
This year, Gryffindor's prefects are Albus and Haidney.
One is a poor wizard whose father has just been sent to Azkaban to serve time, and the other is an all-around witch whose father has just been promoted to Minister of Magic.
Albus carries a whole basketful of accusations, while Haidney has a flawless record.
Albus sends Haidney a letter by owl: You don't have to love me. I'm not worth it.
After receiving the letter, Haidney climbs to the tallest tower in Gryffindor, her hair flying in the wind, and shouts to Albus, "Everyone has the right to be loved, and that includes you!"
Albus will never forget that day. She shone like a beam of light.
Theme: A truly spirited Haidney x a beautiful, strong, yet tragic Albus
