Chasing a Deer

Lu Yiyi was beautiful, so as soon as she joined the company, a rich playboy pursued her relentlessly. No matter how she rejected him, he wouldn't give up.

Then the playboy's older brother got in touch with her.

Knowing exactly what was going on, Lu Yiyi showed up for the meeting as planned. As soon as she sat down, she said, "Don't worry. You don't have to give me five million to make me leave your brother."

"My brother? Does he matter?"

In the sunlight, the handsome man gave a slow smile and asked, his eyes gentle as water, "Yiyi, don't you even recognize me?"

When she was little, Lu Yiyi had a happy family. Back then, she would secretly visit a boy who was always covered in bruises because of his mother's mental illness, and take care of him.

But one day, Lu Yiyi's family fell apart.

Lu Yiyi and her mother were driven from their home by a young woman with a swollen belly, and ended up wandering to another city.

But the desire for revenge never left Lu Yiyi's heart.

She swore to the heavens, "One day, I'll become a big shot and crush everyone who ever bullied me into the dirt!"

Mighty Mu: "I've already dealt with those people. Yiyi, come home."

Lu Yiyi: "...Oh. I'm coming."

Mu Shen would always remember the girl who brightened his childhood. He worked hard to grow stronger, all so he could protect her and keep her from ever suffering again.

But one dark night...

Lu Yiyi choked back tears and said, "It hurts..."

Mu Shen rasped, "Bear it."

Lu Yiyi: "..."

It was all a lie!
