My Husband Is Always Different at Night

Her husband was like an immortal banished from heaven: cold and distant, with an air of noble refinement, and always utterly indifferent to her.

By day, he never sat down to taste the food she had made for him. When they went out together, he never let their bodies touch. Even when she was ill, he never came home to check on her.

Yet every night, he treated her like a treasure, holding her captive in his arms as he kissed her lips tenderly. Then he would grow fierce, refusing to part from her for even a moment.

Until one day, she couldn't find on the back of her husband's neck the mark she'd left there the night before.
