Reborn as a Puppet, I Took Down the Regent

Qi Ye, vampire king, accidentally transmigrated and was mistaken for the emperor of the Great Yue Dynasty, then brought back to the imperial palace. Rumor had it that Emperor Qi Ye was a good-for-nothing, a puppet ruler through and through, with the Empress Dowager ruling from behind the curtain above him and the Regent watching like a hungry tiger below. Qi Ye: Hah, a good-for-nothing. Qi Ye had always been the one in charge. How could he stand this kind of humiliation? He'd deal with the Empress Dowager, bring down the Regent, and build up his own power while he was at it. But looking at the handsome, cold-faced Regent before him, he suddenly found himself unable to strike. Never mind beating him. He'd make a good food supply. After all, the man's scent was just too tempting. Excerpt One: Since the emperor's return from his disappearance, this was the first time Feng Qingmiao had seen Emperor Qi Ye. He furrowed his brow. Something about the person before him felt off. The look in his eyes made Feng Qingmiao feel as if he were about to be devoured, bones and all. Later, Feng Qingmiao finally got bitten. He looked at the emperor before him, who wore a thoroughly satisfied expression. Only then did he understand: some kinds of eating weren't what he'd thought they were, and yet they were exactly what he'd thought they were. In short, he'd let his guard down. Excerpt Two: Everyone knew that the Regent was the one who truly held power in the dynasty. That is, until one day, someone saw this: The stern, cold-as-ice Regent came running out of the emperor's bedchamber, clothes disheveled and lips swollen. They suddenly understood the truth: The Regent held power, but the emperor held the Regent. Simply put: brilliant. Reader's Guide: 1. Gong-centered, mutually doting, 1v1 story. Some parts will also be told from the shou's perspective. 2. Romance and putting villains in their place. 3. The writing is amateurish, so don't expect too much logic. Theme: No matter what difficulties you face, persevere and stay optimistic, and you'll ultimately emerge victorious. Believe that a rainbow comes after the storm.
