Building Infrastructure in the Stone Age

Silly version: Lin Yu woke up from a coma and saw six hulking men, each eight feet tall, airing out their birds. He also saw sixteen people dressed in animal-skin skirts, with blurred faces and indeterminate genders. So he rolled over and let himself pass out again. His last thought was, 'I must have woken up in the wrong position.' Five years later, Lin Yu had accepted the truth. 'Let's have a rational discussion: how can a modern person survive after transmigrating back to a fantasy version of the Stone Age? Or can I survive at all?' Fifteen years later, the facts proved that Lin Yu could not only survive, but thrive, with a family and a career. A little scene: Lin Yu was used to tribespeople whose skin was rougher than sandpaper. Unwilling to compromise his taste, he'd decided from the start to stay single for life. So the first time he met the shaman, he was both overjoyed and utterly stunned. 'What a beautiful big sister!' The shaman frowned. 'I'm a man.' Lin Yu hesitated for a moment, then made up his mind. 'A man works too.' Serious version: The fallen sun grows upon a dead tree, and the flame of life dwells in death;* The trembling earth sounds the call to battle, and totem patterns awaken the glory of days gone by; Ancient souls will one day return to the land of their birth, and civilization and spirit will endure forever. *From a comment by the reader San Qianshi.
