Chun Shang Bell is a textbook cute girl from a kids' anime.

She thought she'd be like every other kid, picking up her own Pokemon and setting off to collect Gym Badges and become a Pokemon Master!

But she never expected to...

find an Italian man in purple lace in her backyard,

run into a bandage-wasting contraption spreading its wings atop Prism Tower,

rescue a blond crybaby in the forest who carried a huge sword but couldn't beat a flock of Spearow,

While Bell was left reeling, these men from brutal, action-packed anime all cried out: "Kids' anime is the best! Pokemon is the coolest!"

Reader's Guide:

1. First-person narration.

2. The main world is Pokemon, with characters from other anime crossing over.

3. This is not a romance-pick-your-favorite story, nor a story where every character has a one-sided crush on the heroine. It's essentially a silly coming-of-age story, but the "choices" do affect the romance plot.

4. Pokemon and their trainers are the main focus. There is Pokemon-catching, Gym battles, and villain-defeating. The men are just a bit of seasoning; traveling and adventure are the real point. The battles are on the lighter side, so don't read if that's not your thing.
