(HP Snily) The Distance Between Lily Evans and Lily Snape

Blurb:

In 1975, as Lily entered her fifth year, she was attacked by Slytherin students. She decided to use this as a chance to have a proper talk with Severus.

From that moment on, the course of fate changed.

This story is also known as The Fork in the Road.

Reader's notes:

1. Lily/Severus, with a happy ending.

2. The point of view switches between Lily and Severus.

3. Lily and Severus are deeply biased in each other's favor, so the descriptions reflect their strong subjective perspectives.

4. The story takes place in the second half of their fifth year, before their falling-out, when their relationship is growing increasingly tense.

5. Acknowledgments: The story was inspired by discussions between my friend John and me. Thank you for your help.
