Ye Wan pursued her senior brother for three hundred years, from the time he was a boy until he was on the verge of ascending. But his eyes had always been fixed on that reckless, red-clad demoness...
In the three-hundredth year, the demon realm invaded with its entire clan. The demoness was killed, and on the eve of his ascension, her senior brother became a demon and swore to slaughter everyone in their sect!
Ye Wan tried to bring him back to his senses, but he pierced her heart with a single sword strike. Her Nascent Soul didn't even escape.
The pain of a pierced heart cut to the very core. As she lay dying, watching her senior brother become a demon without hesitation, Ye Wan finally understood...
In the cultivation world, love between men and women had nothing to do with mutual consent. If she had simply taken him by force when her desire first arose, what could a mere mortal boy have done to her?
Given a chance to be reborn, Ye Wan stood on a high platform, staring intently at the boy below, who was devoted to the Way.
Her father teased her: “Wanwan, this boy is gifted and handsome. Shall I take him in as your senior brother?”
Ye Wan smiled sweetly. “Father, I'm short one low-ranking servant at my cave abode. He'll do, I suppose.”
A darkened junior sister, consumed by unrequited love, is reborn and takes her former senior brother by force.
