[I'm starting Eighties: Marrying a Poor Man in July 2022. See my author page, and add it to your favorites if you're interested.]
Qi Sang sang, a little-known actress, lands the villain's role in a major xianxia drama. But on her way to the audition, she has an accident and transmigrates into the story as a disposable character killed by the villain.
Her husband has run away and wants nothing to do with her, a ruthless villain is trying to kill her, and a scheming senior sister is out to get her.
Qi Sang sang glances at the male lead, who's still a child, and sighs to herself: Looks like I'll have to rely on you, son.
By taking advantage of the opportunities that come with raising the male lead, Qi Sang sang manages to become a powerhouse. The Divine Dragon clan has her back, and the Divine Phoenix clan is at her beck and call.
To the husband who doesn't want to show his face: Just disappear forever.
To the villain who wants to become the Demon Queen: Your Demon King has already been taken out.
And to the senior sister pretending to be a sweet white lotus: Your secret identity has already been exposed.
After dealing with her scumbag husband and her enemies, there's just one person Qi Sang sang can't handle.
"When are we going back to acknowledge our ancestors as a family?"
Someone corners her by the bed, his eyes full of menace...
(Not a conventional xianxia story. The protagonist doesn't lose her memory, there's no mistress, and the heroine doesn't remarry.)
[Coming next: The Immortal Lord's Slacker Can Turn Things Around. Please add it to your reading list!]
Heroine's blurb:
The Heavenly Court is holding a competition to choose a new Water God! Ji Shu, a junior river deity with sky-high ambition, plans to enter. So she seeks out Siming and asks him to arrange several lives for her in the mortal realm as powerful women, so she can build up her credentials. But when she gets the scripts Siming gives her, something seems off:
[The Frail Legitimate Daughter Whose Engagement Was Broken]
[The Spendthrift Heiress Whose Parents Died Tragically]
[The Stolen Youngling of the Demon King]
Hero's blurb:
After a hundred thousand years of devoted service, the Water God finally earns immortality and is promoted to Eternal Life Immortal Lord. Before taking up his new post, he plans to take a vacation in the mortal realm, so he writes a few scripts and sends them to Siming's Bureau to be arranged:
[The Handsome Prince Rescues the Fallen Legitimate Daughter]
[The Dashing CEO Dotes on the Heiress Who Lost Her Protection]
[The Daoist Prodigy Loves Only His Pitiful Spirit Pet]
Extra's blurb:
Siming has just arranged for a river deity to be reincarnated when his deputy rushes in, flustered. "My lord, you've used the wrong scripts! The one you just sent off was written by the newly appointed Eternal Life Immortal Lord for his own vacation!"
Later:
"Immortal Ji Shu, your resume doesn't meet the requirements for this position."
"What doesn't meet them?"
"The Eternal Life Immortal Lord has decreed that his empress cannot take up the position of Water God."
Theme: Only in a happy family can children grow up happily. It's the same for immortals and demons.
At first I thought Cheng Tiandao was here, but later I thought Lan Zijin would go find the heroine, but in the end the hero just sat in the Peacock Clan territory waiting for the heroine to reach nirvana. The result is really what we have been waiting for! What a happy ending!
The IQs of these protagonists are really worrying.
The writing is still good, but it stands to reason that the heroine and the hero must have gone through a lot when they came from the lower world to the heaven. They easily doubted the hero, and even got so angry that he ignored his own safety and blew up his identity to force her to break through. The characters were not established.
The ending is so simple. Is there any extra story?
