Iolos died, and then Iolos came back to life.
She climbed out of a pool and discovered she had a minimap, much like one in a video game.
A green-eyed woman told her that this was the League of Assassins, and that Iolos was its youngest elite assassin.
This was Iolos's second resurrection. For her, the aftereffect of coming back to life was amnesia.
The green-eyed woman asked Iolos to train someone: her son, the League's future leader.
After learning that instructors always ended up dead, Iolos used her minimap to make a successful escape.
Looking for something to do, Iolos decided to figure out who she was.
So she went to Gotham.
One day, she saw on the news that the little carrot-head had become the son of Gotham's richest man.

Then one day, while Iolos was gaming in her boxer shorts with a cigarette in her mouth, she suddenly looked up and realized she was surrounded by one, two... four little birds.
The old Bat leading them was staring at her with a look that said, Batman is watching you.
