After Surviving My Tribulation, My Ex-Husband Begged Me Not to Ascend

A newly admitted disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect sneaks through layer upon layer of formations in the dead of night, violating countless immortal precepts, all to see his reclusive grand-aunt, Rong Fu.

The elders pity his outstanding talents and want to make an exception for him.

But Rong Fu, roused from seclusion, barely lifts her eyes before sweeping him straight down the ten thousand steps with a wave of her hand.

There is only one reason.

This new disciple is the husband she killed in a past life on Earth, cutting off their bond so she could ascend to immortality.

When Han Yu regains his senses and crawls out of a sea of blood, he clutches a hibiscus hairpin, its color changed by the blood soaking it.

The mountains are filled with corpses. He searches for three days and nights, but his A Fu is nowhere to be found.

He seeks the path to immortality, learns magic, and defies Heaven, all to bring that hibiscus flower spirit back to life.

But in the end, he discovers that A Fu was never A Fu. She is Rong Fu, a descendant of the roc who soars ninety thousand miles above the Ninth Heaven.
