They rely too heavily on their animal forms and are prone to mental breakdowns. 3. Kane (shou) takes the form of the alpha gray wolf. [Content Warnings: Avoid if these are dealbreakers for you] 1. Younger gong, shorter than the shou. The gong grows as the story progresses and is not the delicate type. 2. Sentinels and Guides, an Earth-in-crisis setting, significant authorial liberties, a golden finger, and a future interstellar setting. Readers who demand rigorous research may wish to avoid. 3. A sweet story, with the shou doting on the gong more. Some angst for the sake of the plot, but it has a happy ending and is sweet overall. 4. Special emphasis!!! I don't favor either side. Theme: The protagonists help each other and bravely lead humanity in fighting the invaders, showing people's resilience and goodness!
