What's It to You?

An Zhaodi is the good girl parents talk about, the most sensible child in everyone's eyes. And all because of those words When her family wants to buy a house, her parents say, "You're the most sensible one. Your brother is still 100,000 short for his down payment. How about dropping out and getting married first? The Chen family will pay 150,000 in bride price." Because she's a good girl, the neighbor's daughter, Lihua, grabs her hand with tears in her eyes and says, "Sis, I really like your boyfriend. You're so beautiful. Could you give him to me?" Because she's sensible, when she eventually enters the entertainment industry, her agent hands her a room key and tells her, "This is your chance. If you miss it, don't expect to become famous." An Zhaodi stands outside the fat producer's room, clutching the key. At last, she understands. She's ended up here because she was just too sensible. Just as she's about to throw away the key and leave, she suddenly returns to her college days. Fine, then. She'll live for herself! To hell with her family's emotional manipulation and her cheating, scumbag ex-boyfriend. As long as she stands on the moral high ground, no one can use morality to control her! Her family doesn't have enough money to buy a house. An Zhaodi: "Then go sell your blood! It sounds better than selling your daughter. If you don't have the money, why buy a house or marry a wife?" The neighbor's daughter tries to manipulate her with sweet, fake concern. An Zhaodi: "You like him? Then go after him openly. A dog doesn't mind the smell of shit, and I'm sure he'd like you best." Her agent tries to pimp her out. An Zhaodi: "What I do is none of your business!" Everyone: "S-She's gone crazy!" Now that she's "crazy," An Zhaodi has a car, a house, and savings, and she's won so many awards her hands are numb. Life is great! [An easygoing, feel-good story. No arguing, please.
