Synopsis:

Bai Yisheng first meets Jiang Ruanchen at a malatang stall, where people mistake them for a couple. The very next day, after she'd lamented that fate had brought them together only for them to part, they become desk mates.

"Um... you look kind of familiar..." Bai Yisheng offers, choosing a clumsy opening line.

"Oh?" Jiang Ruanchen pauses, then smiles mischievously. "Maybe I've just got an ordinary face?"

"..."

On Bai Yisheng's birthday, everyone gets so drunk that night they can barely stand. He takes her to the rooftop, no trace of his usual carefree attitude in his eyes.

"Last time, you asked me who you were to me."

"Now I'll tell you. You're the one fate chose for me, the only thing I've ever wanted."

"Bai Yisheng, would you like to go out with me?"

Bai Yisheng is drunk and whispers to him, "Jiang Ruanchen, I like you so much..."

Feeling the small figure on his back, Jiang Ruanchen murmurs, "Mm. Me too." Jiang Ruanchen likes Bai Yisheng so much.

Jiang Ruanchen hasn't believed in gods or prayed to Buddha in over a decade, but now he carefully writes a wish plaque before the temple's wishing tree, asking that Bai Yisheng enjoy a long, healthy life.

She doesn't need a blessing for happiness. He'll give it to her.

The author says the heroine has never been involved with anyone but the male lead [same goes for the male lead].

A few things to note:

The heroine is great at studying, but she's two-faced. She's also good at fighting. If you mess with her, she'll hit back twice as hard.
