Chi Tou is unruly and reckless. He won the Linghai Motorcycle Cup as a teenager and basked in the glory, hailed as a natural-born genius. Unfortunately, he's bold, loves taking risks, gets into trouble, and is hard to keep in line.
Rumor has it that the young master Chi Tou has fallen for a well-behaved girl.
When their homeroom teacher finds out, she asks the good girl, Xu Jinju, to dock his points from time to time and keep him in check.
Until one day, Chi Tou lazily half-lids his eyes and rolls a cigarette between his fingers, its ember flickering faintly. He taps the back seat of his motorcycle and drawls in a low, roguish voice, "Want a thrill? Get on. Dare you?"
He thinks she won't dare.
But Xu Jinju grips her scorebook tightly, feels the cool wind on her face, and rides with him through grassy fields and deep valleys, soaring over hills.
-
Xu Jinju's request is simple: she wants Chi Tou to follow the rules. She even agrees to be his girlfriend in exchange.
But the one thing this guy hates most is following rules.
After a long struggle and a failed plan, she naturally chooses to leave and stop pursuing him.
Chi Tou lights a cigarette, his eyes black and the smoke curling around him. He lifts his eyelids and says coldly, "Good. Your voice didn't even shake."
His intent is direct and utterly merciless.
-
Later, Xu Jinju becomes a host and is assigned to conduct interviews at the venue.
At the Lujiang Circuit, Chi Tou wins a medal despite missing his target. He's wild and unrestrained, looking down on everyone. Backstage, he stares at Xu Jinju, his eyelids drooping indifferently, and says arrogantly, "You've still got the nerve to face me."
Xu Jinju looks awful.
"All right." His throat tightens, and his eyes soften as he looks at her. One hand trembles as he holds the hand gripping the microphone. Leaning against the wall, his eyes seem a little red. "I won't act so arrogant anymore."
He takes off his medal and embraces Xu Jinju, his voice choked and trembling. "I'll follow the rules for you. Come with me, okay?"
-He wants to see her cry and hear her trembling voice, but he's afraid she won't want to, afraid she'll feel wronged.
