The Little Swan [Figure Skating]

[Gentle, resilient figure-skating swan × handsome, silly freestyle-swimming shark] [My writing wasn't strong enough back then to capture what I wanted. I'm considering revising and rewriting it.] When Qin Xiaoxiao stepped onto the ice at the Winter Olympics at seventeen, no one expected this little girl to usher in a new era. Later, people described that era this way: "It was an era of blazing passion and gentle warmth. She was adorned with glory, yet remained as kind and warm as ever." A reporter asked Qin Xiaoxiao, "What do you think was the key to your success?" Qin Xiaoxiao smiled. "A firework that lit up my world." * As figure skating's most beloved "little swan," Qin Xiaoxiao had always been perfect in the eyes of skating fans. One netizen declared outright: No one is good enough for our little swan. That is, until one Olympic year, "Shark" Min Yu, the freestyle swimming champion who had won every major title in the middle and long-distance events, handed a stack of gold medals to his mysterious girlfriend in the stands, right before everyone's eyes. The camera panned over, and the whole world saw the mysterious girlfriend's face. Who else could it be but the little swan! Netizens: I lost both my wife and my husband on the same day. * After their relationship went public, the two were invited to a variety show, where they talked about how they first met. Qin Xiaoxiao thought for a moment. "We met when we were fifteen. I was at the lowest point in my figure skating career, and he helped me out of my confusion and despair." Min Yu had a completely different answer. "We met when we were ten. I was a brat who got into trouble and fought every day. She helped me escape from a group of older kids who were beating me up." Qin Xiaoxiao looked at Min Yu in surprise. He scratched his head. "After that, I found out she was training at a club, so I begged my parents to let me go there to practice swimming. It wasn't until I was fifteen that I found out she did figure skating." "But that's okay. We can meet again at the top of the world." P.S. 1. This is a healing, sugary-sweet story about two people growing together hand in hand. They only start dating as adults. The focus is on the romance, and there won't be much detail about the competitive sports. The sports-related aspects are entirely fictionalized, so it's basically half a fairy tale. Feel free to share your knowledge of figure skating and swimming in the comments! 2. Updates come in a torrent. Theme: Competitive sports are brutal and beautiful.
