The Villainess Regrets Her Choices

This story is Mary Sue fiction with a universally adored heroine. Yan Qing is a spoiled young lady who gets away with anything. She's foolish and mean, and enjoys bullying people. Her list of victims is far-reaching, and certainly not limited to commoners. For example: The Fifth Prince, whose mother died early, who has a feminine face, and whom everyone picks on in the palace. The sickly boy next door, so frail that he gets out of breath after a few steps. And the young general, once hailed as a prodigy and the Little Lanling Prince, but now crippled and unable to walk. They're all targets she bullies for fun. She doesn't even fear the Eastern Depot's feared chief eunuch. His beloved adopted son, whose face was disfigured, is now her footman. She beats and punishes him whenever she likes. Yan Qing thinks her life will go on just fine forever. But then... The Fifth Prince becomes emperor. The sickly boy becomes chancellor. The young general becomes a great general who protects the people of the realm. Even a commoner she once bullied, though she can't remember when, becomes the richest man in the country. They all come to take revenge on her. And the adopted son of the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old? Who knows. Before he could even see her again, the new emperor had already killed him. Just as Yan Qing is consumed with regret, she wakes from her dream! Everything in the dream felt so real. Was it really only a dream? Question: How do you survive at the mercy of your enemies? Answer: Turn them into your husbands? Theme: Be kind
