Gong Xi, the perpetually unlucky, beautiful-and-tragic male lead in a quick transmigration story, accidentally returned to his home planet a thousand years in the past. It was roughly like going from the 21st century back to the age of Homo sapiens.
Gong Xi's textbooks only mentioned that, after the apocalypse, the survivors of his home planet were forced into a terrifying game called Evolution.
Gong Xi had planned to keep a low profile and avoid attracting bad luck. But one day, after that lousy game began running, the System suddenly announced excitedly in his ear:
[Ding! There aren't enough players, so the System will randomly select new players from among the spirits currently in existence!]
[Thank you for your support of this game! We are delighted to announce...]
[Congratulations, you've won!]

When the apocalypse arrives, the terrifying Evolution game officially begins.
The players are no longer limited to humans. Even the monsters and demons of legend may get the chance to participate in person.
Gong Xi, whose combat power was maxed out, didn't expect to be paired with a god-tier teammate, but he never imagined the System would force two "deadweights" on him:
One was a "coward" who had once been an NPC, but froze up at the sight of his own kind. When forcibly rebooted, he couldn't stop blurting out Dongbei dialect.
The other was a "dumb zombie," a major supporting character in apocalypse movies, who was tall, tough, always craving meat, and even tried to eat his teammates.
Even Gong Xi, a man from the future, eventually had his accent corrupted by his teammates...
Well, fine. They were practically a "family of three" anyway. They'd make do.
No matter how useless his teammates were, he was confident he could lead these two monsters and freaks to slaughter their way through the game!
The following is the unofficial version of the Handbook for Surviving the Apocalypse. Players, please read carefully:
1. Horror and comedy go hand in hand. Think horror-comedy, with plenty of screaming and laughter.
2. Strong leads, with the top as the pursuer. Plot-focused. Gong Xi x Bei Zhi.
3. The bottom is a ghost. He's a coward, but very capable.
Theme: The horror is just as serious as the comedy!
