Late Summer

That long-awaited summer, Ji Tong was reborn and returned to high school, where she met Chi Yu, the person who had filled her student days with a sense of faith.

Ji Tong was an ordinary girl. She was short, with delicate features and an average family background. She wasn't stupid, but she wasn't particularly clever either. After that, Ji Tong got into a third-rate university. After graduation, she found an ordinary job, working nine to five. She was busy, yet never felt fulfilled, drifting through each day in a daze. By the time she turned thirty, she had achieved nothing.

One day after turning thirty, Ji Tong saw Chi Yu on television. He was still someone she could only look up to. Just like back in school, he was the moon in the sky, impossibly far away, while she could only swim through filthy water, humble and ashamed, hoping his reflection might appear in the pool.

Back in school, she had at least dared to secretly fantasize about him. Now she was so insecure that she didn't even dare look at him. Life had numbed Ji Tong, but seeing him made her eyes redden for the first time in years.

That night, Ji Tong was reborn and returned to high school.

Given another chance at high school, Ji Tong hopes she can seize the opportunity, study hard, and change her fate, so she won't end up like in her previous life, thirty years old and still drifting through life, with nothing to show for it.
