This is a continuation of the Mo Ran fanfiction Oh! My Emperor, with Xie Yun from The Legend of Fei added as a character. He is the orphaned son of the Southern Dynasty's crown prince.
The story's setup: Xie Yun was caught in a Southern Dynasty conspiracy as a child. He was switched at birth with the child of the Huangdao Kingdom's imperial consort, and thus also came to be known as Beitang Yun. Because his supernatural ability differed from the powers of the twelve zodiac signs, he was discriminated against and bullied. Each time his power erupted, it hurt both himself and others, so he was regarded as a monster. The Empress Dowager had always considered him and his mother a thorn in her side. After the late emperor passed away, she had Yun's mother executed and tried to exterminate Yun as well. He was only seven years old. Forced by the Empress Dowager and others to unleash the power within him, Yun nearly died in the imperial palace. Mo Ran rescued him and took him back to his manor to raise him. From then on, Yun had no memory of his past and seemed like a different person.
Beitang Mo Ran is incredibly affectionate and protective toward his younger brother. To keep him safe, he rarely takes him out of the manor and forbids him from going out alone or entering the palace. But after losing his memory, Beitang Yun has become a mischievous, spirited boy who hates being restrained. Of all the many rules the prince has set for him, the only one he may have actually followed is the ban on entering the palace. With no other choice, the prince has to discipline him strictly. Beitang Yun has been punished plenty of times for his antics. He needs to have something to fear, after all.
But with pressure from the Empress Dowager, the influence of the Southern Dynasty, and one obstacle after another, how will Mo Ran and Xie Yun face it all?
