The Save-Scumming Player Decides to Become the Ultimate Archdemon

[A one-player Fourth Cataclysm]

You receive a game shared by a friend.

Its main selling point is its incredibly high degree of freedom, with no restrictions whatsoever.

You download the game and register as a player.

But in this high-risk game world, your character is just a...

Nobody.

Still, you can pursue any of these three paths:

1. As a nobody, become the strongest person in the world.

2. As a nobody, become the richest person in the world.

3. Unnoticed by anyone, possess breathtaking beauty.

You choose:

[Kick those three options aside and load an external program.]

[You have acquired a save-and-revive function.]

The automatically generated selection menu offers you the following choice:

[Livestream to NPCs and abuse your immortality to court death endlessly. This route will give you a tragic, beautiful, and powerful character arc.]

You choose:

[Kick the tragic character arc aside and write yourself a new identity: an immortal Demon King.]

And so...

You are a nobody. You are an immortal Demon King. You were once the strongest person in the world, the richest person in the world, and possessed breathtaking beauty that moved even the gods.

Your identity draws you into the game's story, and you are finally no longer just a nobody.

But all the NPCs are hostile toward you. In their eyes, you're unforgivably evil, and your name is so red that they'll try to stab you to death whenever they get the chance.

You: Hehehehe.jpg

Premise: You, the game character, are the immortal Demon King from a thousand years ago.

You are the remnants of feudalism. You oppressed that world, believed all money belonged to you, and once had a face that moved even the gods. Yet you rejected a god's advances.

The god said that if you refused, it would kill your people. You controlled the god and made it watch as your people died one after another because of its decision.

You broke a god.

Reader's guide:

1. The main story is in third person and includes forum-style chapters.

2. The player only plays the game for fun and follows no rules whatsoever.

3. There are two kinds of save-and-reload: reviving at a save point, and rewinding time.

4. The story has three volumes: the early part is all about the player, the middle part takes place in a full-dive game, and the later part is set in the real world.

Theme: Witness the weight of life from a different perspective
