I Was Smitten by the Adorable Little Poor Thing

Lu Yan always thought Cheng Nian was too meek, the kind of person who wouldn't fight back even when bullied. He didn't like cowards. When he saw how pitiful Cheng Nian looked, he only helped him on a whim. That is, until he wandered into a demon's barrier and found Cheng Nian tearing demons apart with his bare hands... Lu Yan: "..." Demon (reaching out like Er Kang): Help, help me... Cheng Nian: N-no, calling me Uncle won't help. Time to send you on your way. (Raises his fist and punches it flying.) Turning around, Cheng Nian saw Lu Yan. He glanced at the blood still wet on his hands, blinked, then held them out with a pitiful look. "I'm hurt. Could you bandage me up and let me stay the night?" Lu Yan: "..." Demon: That damn blood is mine! Fake-pitiful, secretly badass bottom X irresistibly attractive top with a constitution that draws ghosts Theme: Never give up hope
