(The whole story is very sweet. The blurb for my next novel, Wildfire, is at the end.)
Su Xiao and Cheng Ling are married by agreement. Forget treating each other with respect; they don't even get a chance to meet.
That is, until her internship during the summer of her junior year. She outshines students from prestigious universities across the country to win a management trainee internship at Hua'an Group, becoming the first student from her school to join a global internet giant. That's when she discovers Cheng Ling is her boss.
How does a woman deal with being her boss's actual wife, yet having to join the office girls in fantasizing about him?
One night, by chance, a drunk Su Xiao gives him a kiss. Afterward, Cheng Ling lights a cigarette and silently tears up their prenuptial agreement.
The next morning, he knocks on his lovely wife's door of his own accord, only to find her just as cool and distant as ever, having completely forgotten what happened the night before!
So, did he just get kissed and stiffed?
Note: One-on-one romance, both leads are sexually inexperienced, married first and fall in love later, husband pursues wife after offending her.
Next novel: Wildfire
Blurb:
Yan Jia is a gentle, serene beauty, a little fairy whom everyone believes should never be offended. Yet she once had a brief, secret marriage. The two treated each other with respect, but were distant and polite.
She thought their paths would never cross again, until at a charity gala, Lu Wenzhou, the rising tech tycoon and Jiangdu's most eligible bachelor, made his first public appearance and became the center of attention. The wealthy heiresses of Jiangdu and actresses from the entertainment industry pulled out all the stops to win his favor, but he turned them all away.
Yan Jia, brought along by her boss to look pretty, sat quietly among the crowd, paying no attention. Her friend nudged her and pointed at Lu Wenzhou. "Hey, isn't that your ex-husband?"

Yan Jia helps her boss secure a major annual project. The mysterious client is none other than Lu Wenzhou. At the celebration banquet, Lu Wenzhou watches quietly over his wineglass as a woman with an impossibly alluring figure is led onto the dance floor. His eyes narrow slightly.
One night, torrential rain pours down. Yan Jia gets her period unexpectedly, and the heat packs she ordered are taking forever to arrive. She turns to her social media friends for advice. Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rings. She opens the door to find a man standing in the rain, impeccably composed despite being soaked through, holding out a bag of heat packs...

Yan Jia's boss's company is acquired by Lu Zhou Technologies, forcing her to join the company. At the group's annual banquet, Yan Jia's aunt finds her and begs her to please Lu Wenzhou and help the Li family through their troubles. Yan Jia refuses. In front of everyone, her aunt throws a glass of red wine over her.
"He slept with you for two years. Didn't you develop feelings for him? You can't even help with this one little thing?"
Yan Jia feels as if she has been stripped naked and left to roast under the sun. Her vivid lips turn as white as snow.
In the dead silence, Lu Wenzhou, surrounded by admirers, strides over to her with calm determination. He takes off his suit jacket and drapes it over her shoulders, his voice icy. "This person is never to set foot in Jiangdu again..."
He gestures to a waiter. "Please escort this lady out."
The next day, Yan Jia steels herself and goes to work to submit her resignation.
The HR manager smiles and says, "I'm not important enough to approve this resignation."
Yan Jia goes to the rooftop terrace to find Lu Wenzhou, only to see a spectacular fireworks display declaring his love unfold beneath a sky ablaze with sunset light.
He restores the dignity she lost in front of the whole city.
Theme: Perseverance leads to success
Although the plot is very juvenile, I actually finished watching it
I have read 4 books by this author and I like them all😍
"Lu Jinglan looked at this comment and..." Lu Jinglan is such an outstanding person. She shouldn't be written as such a brainless person. How can someone who graduated from the same school as the male protagonist be any different? Why should we always focus on the male protagonist? The female supporting character should also have a good ending. She can fight for her career 💔💔
It's almost over, so fast
It's very sweet. The two of them don't understand each other well.
A cool article! Hahaha
