Obstinately in Love [Online Game]

Lately, I’ve often wondered whether people like this really exist: people who, once they set a goal, can truly stick to it, whether in love or in life, even when it’s only a tiny goal. Zhou Ji is a single-minded man. He is devoted to love, falls for someone easily, and refuses to see reason. He falls again and again, gets hurt again and again, yet never gives up. I’m always lazy. I often get a burst of enthusiasm, then give up halfway. I only ever want to do things well, never to do them perfectly. Zhou Ji is my ideal. Even if it happens only once in my life, I want to be like him: one day, to suddenly become madly devoted to something, or someone, and then press on without fear of hardship. Compared with Ziyan, Obsessed to the End feels much more real. It’s my first attempt at writing in the first person, my first time using a real online game as the setting, and my first story that truly focuses on romance. I just wanted to write it so badly, so I started... Some of you may have seen me post this story on HJJ. Back then, I couldn’t decide whether to write a long novel or a short story. But I really do love this story, so I revised the opening of the third-person short story I’d posted on HJJ into the opening of a first-person long novel. You could say I basically rewrote it from scratch.
