I Give Myself a Piece of Candy [Self-Coupling]

Gan Ming’s memories of her youth were gray.

Her father drank and gambled, her mother was timid and weak, and she herself was helpless and lost.

Death brought it all to an end. She opened her eyes in another world, alone, and grew into the person she had always dreamed of becoming.

Then one day, a little girl appeared in her home.

The girl was heartbreakingly thin, her expression timid. She hid in a corner, trembling, her voice quivering too.

She said:

“My name is Gan Ming.”

There’s a little girl living in my heart.

I want to take her hand and give her sweet candy.

I want to take her shopping and buy her pretty dresses.

I want to soothe her to sleep and tell her lovely bedtime stories.

I want to...

I want to spoil her until she becomes the happiest little princess.

My little girl, you’ll grow into the person you most want to be.

You’ll grow up to be like me.

A sweet treat?
