[Bungo Stray Dogs] The Dragon's Disqualification

[Short story blurb]

-Click to see the grand wedding-

Yokohama as the wedding altar, ability crystals as the betrothal gift, and the White Trio as the invited guests.

[Shibusawa Tatsuhiko: Tatsuhiko's Chamber + Dragon + Shibusawa Tatsuhiko]

Tatsuhiko's Chamber → No Longer Human

Dragon → Arahabaki, the God of Calamity

Shibusawa Tatsuhiko → Nakajima Atsushi

[Notes]

1. First-person narration, follows the original movie's plot, with lots of quoted dialogue. Features living abilities. The only one-sided romance is the ability Dragon's feelings for Tatsuhiko.

2. I couldn't pin down the timeline, so Shibusawa's first death is set after the Dragon Head Conflict.

3. The honest, straightforward one (Shibusawa) is being played by the ability (Tatsuhiko)! Tatsuhiko is the true boss who sees through everything in the White Trio!

4. An unconventional sweet story and an unconventional happy ending. Trust me (ahem).

[Ideas for a follow-up]

After returning from fighting the dragon, Dazai's ability mutates (Tatsuhiko merges with it).

Evolution: [No Longer Human] → [Human Uprising/Ability Disqualification]

Nullifying abilities plus reversing abilities

And so, you'll see

"Rintaro~" A burly Ellis chases Mori Ogai around, putting on a falsetto and trying to make him change into a suit.

Mori Ogai, who likes little-girl Alice and not burly Ellis: ???

#How did a reviled rat in the street suddenly become a hot commodity?#

The ability Crime and Punishment, a death-type ability, becomes Merit and Reward, a healing-type ability. Dostoevsky: ???

Gravity ability → anti-gravity ability. Nakahara Chuuya, whose height grows from 1.6 meters to 1.9 meters after being freed from gravity's restraint: towering above the crowd.

But his height goes up while his 2.8-meter aura goes down. Nakahara Chuuya: ???

[Note] A follow-up to the short Dragon Head story. There's only a 1% chance I'll write it XD
