[Western Crossover] The Superheroes' Call of Cthulhu Campaign

Lu is trapped in an isolated pocket dimension and forced to take part in one tabletop role-playing game after another.

He soon realizes that his teammates are none other than the world's most famous superheroes.

But there seems to be something wrong with this campaign.

[Bruce tries to kick open the wooden door. Critical failure on the Strength check! He breaks his foot! HP loss: 1d6 = 6. Bruce is now unable to move!]

[Lu uses First Aid on Bruce. Critical failure on the skill check! He accidentally sticks the scalpel into the wound and severs an artery! Bruce loses 1d6 = 2 HP and falls unconscious!]

[Tony uses Electrical Repair on his phone. Skill check failed. Clearly, he was far too confident in his knowledge of electronic engineering. He should be glad the phone didn't explode.]

[Clark uses Charm on an NPC. Critical success on the skill check! The muscular, bald butcher falls helplessly in love with him!]

[Peter comes face-to-face with an Elder God. Critical success on the Sanity check! Sanity loss: 1d10 = 1. Even though he looked directly at the Elder God, he remains completely unfazed. In fact, he feels like starting a game of mahjong.]

Lu: ...Is there something wrong with this campaign?

1. The story is based on a TRPG campaign, with heavily modified rules adapted from Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. The rules have been greatly simplified and slightly altered. Otherwise, it would be too complicated. Modified, modified, modified!

2. This is pure silliness, with plenty of acting out of character. Going out of character is part of CoC. If you don't like it, don't play! (Just kidding.)

3. The author is writing for their own amusement, with no outline. I roll the dice as I go. If we're chasing excitement, we might as well see it through.jpg

4. You don't need to know the TRPG rules. I'll explain them as we go. Just have fun reading.
