I'll Die If I Don't Fall in Love

1.

Jiang Yuqi's desk mate is Jin Shuo Zhen. They're close enough that their classmates tease them about it.

And every time, Jin Shuo Zhen blushes and sneaks glances at Jiang Yuqi. He thinks she doesn't know, but actually...

Jiang Yuqi's heart bursts into fireworks every time.

Just as their relationship is about to be made clear, everything comes to a stop that day.

An unfamiliar voice tells Jiang Yuqi inside her head, "If you don't fall in love, you'll die."

She wants to say, Isn't that perfect? She and Jin Shuo Zhen are about to get together.

But then...

"Your first love interest: Min Yunqi."

Jiang Yuqi, ready to happily accept a confession: ???

2.

Time and again, Jiang Yuqi is worn out by Jin Shuo Zhen and Min Yunqi.

She shakes her head, cuts off contact with both of them, and disappears for a night.

That very night, she runs into her second love interest, Bian Baixian.

Jiang Yuqi: Heh.

3.

Backstage at an awards ceremony, Min Yunqi is standing alone in a corner, lost in thought, when he overhears...

"Tell me, did your last girlfriend also break up with you out of the blue, then disappear soon after?"

Min Yunqi thinks that sounds familiar, then realizes it's exactly what happened to him.

"It's so strange... You know, a lot of male idols... this happens to all of them."

A lot? All of them?

Before he can figure out what to make of it, Min Yunqi hears...

"We're breaking up."

"There's no reason. I just don't like you anymore."

The voice is utterly heartless.

And Min Yunqi...

can only think that those words sound damn familiar.
