Also known as Love as a Fraction and One Degree of Ambiguity
Su Bumeng is a heartless scientist. To her, love has always been just a chemical formula: a trace additive to an otherwise uneventful life, but never something that should take up a significant share of it, much less a bargaining chip tied to her self-worth. She is the denominator, and no numerator can ever be greater than her.
Her world is a clean, orderly laboratory. Her childhood made her determined to keep absolute control over her own life.
She spends her days in the lab, pursues graduate studies, earns her degree, and searches through countless compounds for the drug molecule she needs to heal the sick and save lives...
This is the path she planned for herself, and she walks it alone.
Bai Haochen was born with the world at his feet. He's a scion of the capital's elite, a top-tier star who can do as he pleases in the entertainment industry, and a madman who crushes others underfoot.
Yet he falls in love with a girl he shouldn't love and confesses, "I love you."
She studies him like a lab mouse and says, "Your dopamine is just running on a wheel for a while. Don't panic, don't act impulsively. It'll pass when the peak drops."
In her eyes, love is only a fleeting physical reaction. He is nothing more than a set of abnormal data.
But he loves her just the way she is.
In front of her, he's just "Little White," a lab mouse who goes crazy whenever she leaves.
If she doesn't believe him, he'll prove it with his life.
That day, he put on a groom's suit and swallowed a whole blister pack of pills with red wine.
Story blurb:
At fifteen, she was forced into the palace. The turmoil from the Huainan rebellion had yet to subside, and her father pushed her into the imperial harem to protect himself, hoping to offer up her beauty in exchange for his family's safety. The wary emperor had once sworn never to take a woman from the Murong family, but after weighing the pros and cons, he marked her name in vermilion ink, all to keep the Huainan army in check.
She hid her talents and pretended to be weak, but in return spent three years languishing in the Cold Palace. Then, with a single imperial decree, he demoted her to the lowest rank of palace maid.
Reduced to menial work, she wept with joy, for even a palace maid had a slim chance of leaving the palace and returning to the countryside. With her cleverness and ingenuity, she carved out a new life for herself.
Beneath the moonlight in the imperial garden, a performance of Peering at the Moon changed their lives. The emperor realized that she was the woman he had sought for years, and was consumed with remorse. He promised her a life of honor and favor.
But from the start, she had treated the emperor like a plague, avoiding him at every turn. While he was away from the capital, she persuaded the Empress Dowager to issue an edict betrothing her to someone else. By the time he returned, she was already the future wife of a Lu.
Even when he set aside the dignity of the Son of Heaven and begged her to return after divorcing her new husband, she only gave him a cold, resolute smile. "Never!"
By marrying someone else, she taught this emperor what it meant to regret, and what it meant to long for something he could never have.
It turned out that beyond power, he was never what she imagined, nor what she wanted.
Theme: Amid life's many faces and the masks of human nature, may we keep our hearts clear and steadfast, and see things through to the end.
It's a good article that I can't bear to read. I can't bear to leave Zhao Ju or Murong Dingrou. The author's writing style is really great. It's the first time I've written a story that I like so much. The character setting is very interesting. The male and female protagonists are not stereotyped. It's not the kind of assembly line industrial saccharine that you will forget after reading it. The characters are well-drawn and memorable, and many plots can touch me (but there is no meat, haha, just some kissing). I like the old sayings so much! I hope more people will write ancient poems!
The Sixth Palace of Pink and Dai has no color - the literature of the spoiled wife? Misogynistic literature! After reading some parts of this novel, I was so angry that I wrote this short review, hoping that the author could examine his own words. Rethink yourself as a literary creator, and before constantly trying new types of literature, you can also examine the impact of the outlook on life and values brought by your own words on readers. A common problem in Jinjiang ~ world-famous beauty and stupid and charming wife When she was young, the heroine showed a kind of logical thinking that was not in line with ordinary people. When faced with her mother's distrust, her father's disgust, her sisters' resentment, and her frame-up, she did not choose to resist. She didn't even think of a defense. She just wanted to swallow her anger, which was useless except crying. In his articles, the author has emphasized the tenacity and noble character of the heroine countless times, so I would say that if the purpose of swallowing up his humiliation and stupidity is to show off his innocence and kindness, rather than to pave the way for resistance and bravery, it is better not to thank her. The words "high moral character, clean and pure" derived from resistance are really narrow-minded. Whether in ancient times or in modern times, we are all living, and the heroine, as a person who has experienced a tragic disaster such as lighting a sky lantern, is not in line with ordinary people's life experience. Faced with an existential crisis, she does not even have the slightest idea of resisting. It is really unreasonable. What makes me hate the heroine the most is that when she learned that her first husband had passed away, she immediately had a mental breakdown and left her newborn daughter behind. She didn't care about anything and was immersed in her own grief. She didn't care about the hunger and cold of her infant daughter. After regaining consciousness, he resented his daughter for not loving him, and kidnapped her with crazy words, blaming her for liking the male protagonist but not his biological father, liking her grandmother, and not liking her as a mother. Please, when have you ever taken care of this kid? After Ke'er was born, Murong Dingrou didn't take care of her. He didn't even know who his biological father was. He was kicked out of the house by his biological grandparents, and because his mother wanted to have sex with the male protagonist, he was abandoned to live with his maternal grandparents. Why can you ask such a poor child to love you as much as she loves a brave mother? As a woman who is so crazy that she wants to drag another innocent and pitiful life to die for her love, what right do you have to scold your daughter? It is really hard for me to imagine such an ignorant and weak woman. The author said that she is well-read. To be fair, although the heroine is only a small microcosm of the feudal era, in Jinjiang, a city where spoiled wives are common, this is the first time I have seen a woman whose cerebellum is truly wrapped in a footband. The author used countless gorgeous words to describe the heroine's allure, but he only painted a decadent, numb, packaged in chastity etiquette, a toy for men's pleasure. This actually confirms the author's own description in the article - Fendai plaything. On the one hand, she said that she understood the emperor's indifference and cruelty, and on the other hand, she cried bitterly because the man could not treat her wholeheartedly, in order to gain the love and affection of the male protagonist; on the other hand, she said that she did not disdain to compete with the women in the harem, and that she and the emperor were true love, but at the same time, she had to compete with her sister and the male protagonist's previous wife and children, and the male protagonist was not allowed to feel sorry for his previous children. Heroine, do you know that you really look like Cinderella's evil stepmother? A woman who has no merits except her beautiful skin, whose soul is like being corroded by maggots, exudes a fishy stench and pus, and is so stupid that she is vicious. Her noble love killed countless people who struggled to survive in ancient times, those slaves and common people who were as humble as weeds. You think you pity the common people, you are kind and pure, and you are the most smelly poisonous snake in this dynasty. In the eyes of your Miaozhen disciples, all living beings are equal, and you, while enjoying the gold soup delicacies, agar-agar and jade dew provided by countless poor farmers; wearing rich embroidery and brocade, standing tall with a big belly, standing beside the male protagonist like a wife and laughing at you The poor women in the harem are pretentious, eating human flesh, drinking human blood, and being a vassal of the feudal royal power. At the same time, they say that in their own eyes, all living beings are equal. In fact, they warn the palace maids who work hard that they will be punished if they disobey themselves. Aren't they also children? Those young girls working in your palace are really pitiful. Of course, I'm not just talking about her. Everyone in the male protagonist's harem, including the male protagonist himself, is a feudal demon who harms others. It's such a cannibalistic joke that I like Concubine Chen more openly. She knows that she is harming others and is very cruel and ruthless. And Murong Dingrou has such double standards. Which poor slave and maidservant would empathize with you as a master? They have a common name, just like you, they are called people! Does the author think his article is too double-standard? Feudal patriarchy ~ the most misogynistic male protagonist The author has used the words "pindai plaything" countless times in his article. Does it also indicate that the author also believes that women should be men's playthings? Such thoughts and such language have penetrated the mechanical and electronic screens countless times, chilling my heart. Please, it's almost 2024. If the people release women from the cage, will anyone want to go back and be a prisoner bird in a cage? In the author's mind, for men in high positions, their humiliation of women is a gift to them, while for women, any self-desire that appears is an unforgivable act of rebellion. Come on, it's almost 2024, why can't girls have the whole world? For his own selfish gain, the male protagonist can kill the female protagonist's whole family. For the sake of his position as the prince, the male protagonist shows his younger brother some third-rate locust literature, so that his younger brother will lose his father's favor, and then kills the relevant young eunuchs after the incident is completed. In order to have a passionate love with the heroine, he killed all the innocent people sent by the Queen Mother to investigate the matter. Damn it, I almost applauded? Author, you really should write some cool stories about men? Isn't it a great way to describe a ruthless feudal lord who cares about human life? The feudal emperor, a ruthless superior, used all the concubines in the harem by unscrupulous means, and flaunted his pure and beautiful heart, which was not understood by anyone. He hated the ugliness of the concubines and hated their vulgarity. In the final analysis, you just like beautiful women, why do you have to pretend to be so? The author has obviously mentioned in the article how much she hates brothel women and how despicable the palace maids are, and even contact with them feels disgusting. I almost vomited when I saw this! Isn't it the fault of you, the emperor, to reduce girls to men's playthings? You said that women in brothels are despicable, so why didn't you accept the brothel that Concubine Chen gave you so that you could pry into the privacy of the ministers? Who is the initiator of all this? A man who is feudal, decadent and insensitive, a man who loves beauty and prides himself on his aloofness. You actually wrote him as the only good man in the world? Corrupt family ~ the most ridiculous "powerful official" The father of the heroine, Murong Huai, is a military governor who holds great military power. Faced with the fable that his family will perish, what he wants most every day is not how to rebel, how to change the dynasty and kill the royal family, but to train his beautiful daughter to please the emperor. Wtf? Are you kidding me? I don't want to train the army like this but dream of being a kneeling relative. No wonder you are dead! This is a cruel family, and the heroine has to protect them. It has to be said that every one of them is willing to be beaten! The above are just a few fragments and a few miniatures. This novel is very long, so I only focused on a few particularly ridiculous parts because I did not read the entire novel. Such a backward concept, no matter how good the writing is, cannot cover up its louse-like core with a gorgeous outer robe. I have always firmly believed that whether it is a third-rate romance or a literary masterpiece, content and form are inseparable. Literature is the carrier used by the author to express his feelings. Regardless of whether the intention is good or bad, he should at least maintain his sense of deservingness as a creator for his work. This is the dignity of the work. I didn't say that the author should harmonize his words with his actions. Naipaul created such a perfect allegory and also beat his wife, but at least he should maintain the tradition of "writing to convey the truth"? I really don't understand, with such beautiful words, why the story can be so atrophied, and the emotions can be so barren and desolate. The author has wrapped his cerebellum with a foot-binding cloth. Cao wouldn't be so unreasonable. Some authors are really more ancient than the ancients. To put it bluntly, this feudal literature still wants to be turned into a film and television? Just dream. The colorless heroine of the Sixth Palace is a pink and white plaything that is thoughtless, naive and stupid enough to hurt ordinary people. Not only is she unable to be a good mother in the worldly sense, but she also has no merit whatsoever. She is a "Fandai plaything" that is parasitic on the imperial power. This is not in line with my personal preferences. As a reader, I particularly dislike a novel, so I have the right to make a subjective evaluation of it. This is the right of a reader. As an author, you can respond or answer the readers' opinions. This is also the right of an author. However, I believe that an author should have the courage to be questioned. Questioning is the best medicine for writing progress. Maybe my comments on your work may have been too extreme, but since I have already apologized to you, you did not seriously understand the core of what I wanted to express (misogynistic thoughts), so I think I must state my point of view clearly. First of all, you are indeed overgeneralizing my doubts about the storyline as a pure "Mary Sue" and "Holy Father". I once saw a saying that I deeply believed in: "Literature is the testing ground of human nature." This statement is really reasonable. To write about the shortcomings of characters is to criticize and discuss shortcomings. This is the meaning of shortcomings and the reality of human beings - but it does not mean that they can be called the highlights of in-depth literature and used to decorate the appearance. There must be flaws at the core of the character, but the core of the flaws lies in correction, not in praising the so-called truth of the character, or in angry denial. Therefore, I have refined the shortcomings of the characters you expressed in the article. It is not that I question you. I just wrote down what you wanted to express and told me. I just wrote down the so-called real characters you described and their shortcomings. Please read it clearly! This is a shortcoming that you wrote yourself! This is not my subjective opinion!!!! Secondly, regardless of the so-called "depth", every woman should not see words such as "Pink and Dai's plaything", "Despicable palace maid", "Aren't we women born to be men's playthings", "Stepdaughter's children are born" and so on in a novel with a female audience as the main audience. This is a mental insult to women! And in this situation, the situation set by the author does not negate this type of words, because even if these words are written to fit the context of the times, in the text, such ideas should be criticized - for example, in "White Deer Yuan", even if the tragic situation of women is depicted, the purpose is to express the sadness of the times and make people feel - belittling, Confucianism is wrong to curse women and should be criticized. However, the author does not deny this view. This kind of misogyny hidden between the lines starts from the perspective of pleasing men, and takes external conditions such as beauty and body as the starting point. Women are regarded as tools to please men. Women should plan their body proportions according to men's requirements. (There is an example in the article: the heroine wants to change the color of her nails, but the hero is very tough and refuses, saying that the heroine should please him) "Feudal literature" that extremely objectifies women should not be easily attributed to "humanity literature". Not only is this a whitewash for derogatory facts about women that doesn't cover up the truth, but you combine humanity with so-called depth and I'm really angry. Because literature that explores darkness is questioning, opposition, fierce criticism, and a beam of light guiding mankind in the decadent era. They show the heaviest side of human nature, not to seek joy and praise, but to awaken numbness. This is the value of your so-called "human nature" literature - not a summary of the so-called "depth", but the hope of "never happening again"! To put it mildly, in contrast, your so-called human nature is different from the true "human nature", and should not and should not collude with each other. Then, let's talk about concept issues. If we don't talk about the author's three views, well, let's talk about the three views in "Six Palaces of Pink and Dai Colorless". "Mom is just a woman, ask your father for decisions." "Wen Liangyi lived for Murong Huai, and I will leave even if he dies." Needless to say, there is no need to say more. Really, the level of misogyny in the article is unprecedented! I## am too lazy to type my argument. If you write misogynistic literature, well, this is personal freedom, but if you spread it online and gain influence, do you know that you are spreading feudal dross?!!!! Have you ever thought about how many readers who have not yet formed their values will be misled by words with rotten ideas? Will everything be fine if you marry a powerful man? Right! Is this the core of your love story? We can only see such a shallow side, human literature, nothing more than that! However, have you ever thought about the social responsibility that you should bear as an online information disseminator? Is it still a question of whether you like it or not? It's a matter of spreading values! I'll leave it to the last word to talk about attitude. My evaluation of your work may be harsh, but I also really owe you a debt of gratitude on the Internet platform. Okay, then let me ask you, what is your attitude towards my reply? To deny doubts with an arrogant tone and generalized views, and to drive away problems from the highest point of morality, is this the proper attitude towards a person who apologizes? First, I will not take back the view that your article is full of misogyny. This is a fact. If you want to refute, then please reply to all the questions I raised in the above comments instead of just picking out the minor ones to make up for. Secondly, I will not retract the bad view you spread that "everything will be fine if you marry a powerful man (and commit domestic violence) and serve him with beauty". This is also true. Third, I have not expressed in any way that I hope you will die as an apology. Life is beautiful and there is no need to mess it up like this. Fourth, regarding the issue of reading pirated articles, I did not pay all the fees for your article. All my opinions above were obtained by reading the comments on your article in major book reviews. But that doesn't mean I can't comment on your article, I'm qualified. Fifth, regarding the issue of Li Shimin's misogyny, the author, you really can't find negative examples to refute... Didn't you find that Tang Taizong's issue really proves my point of view? If you really want to refute, please give a modern example instead of using this great banner to cover up your flawed refutation. You might as well respond to these points! He didn't even know who his biological father was. He was kicked out of the house by his biological grandparents, and because his mother wanted to have sex with the male protagonist, he was abandoned to live with his maternal grandparents. Because the heroine's mind collapsed and she went crazy. She wanted to drag her newborn daughter to jump off the cliff to die for her late husband. She was a woman who was crazy enough to drag another innocent and pitiful life to die for her love. This is inconsistent with the author's problem with the heroine's tenacity. The author used countless gorgeous words to describe the heroine's allure, but he only painted a decadent, numb, packaged in chastity etiquette, a toy for men's pleasure. While saying that she understood the emperor's indifference and cruelty, she cried bitterly because the man could not treat her wholeheartedly, in order to gain the hero's love and affection; at the same time, she said that she did not disdain competing with the women in the harem, and that she and the emperor were true love, but at the same time she had to compete with her sister and the hero's previous wife and children, and the hero was not allowed to feel sorry for his previous children. This is the fourth time. I feel so emotional.
The writing is very good, the writing style is good, and the story is good. It can be seen that the author is a very knowledgeable person.
I originally finished reading this novel with a smile on my face, but after reading the reviews, I felt a little aggrieved and felt unspeakably uncomfortable. Now I am back after reading other emperor articles. The author's writing style was so good that I couldn't stand other novels, so I read it again. But I took a closer look at the content of this novel, and I found it really frustrating and boring. I don't think the emperor is the type to kill decisively. I don't know how he handled it in court. I have only seen him decisively execute the absolute bad guys, or those who threaten his status. But for all the people related to the heroine, the concubines and the heroine, the hero always looks forward and backward, and the merits and demerits are equal, even if the merits and demerits are not equivalent at all. I agree more with what the hero's son said, that merit is merit and fault is fault. Even if they are offset, there must be a charter. The merits and demerits of the male protagonist are balanced, which in my opinion is not only unfair, but also outrageous. Other articles that touch the emperor's bottom line will be put to death, but this one can jump from the beginning to the end without being locked up in the cold palace or punished for copying the book. Now I suddenly can't remember what the punishment is. Is it just that I feel disappointed in that concubine? For example, the heroine's relatives (uncle, Wang, etc.), Who use their power to commit crimes outside, can obviously use both kindness and force to restrain them, but the male protagonist insists on it and makes it seem like they are being flattered and killed. I'm thinking about a problem. Those bad people enjoy a lifetime of glory and wealth, and they don't have a bad ending until they are old. What's that? Is that considered retribution? Then who can the people who were harmed by them for no reason come to have an explanation? For example, the heroine's former in-laws, mother-in-law and sister-in-law had harmed so many people (I forgot the details). But in the end, the male protagonist actually used these lives to threaten his mother-in-law and sister-in-law not to push further. Even if Lu sacrificed his life for his country, even if they are the heroine's former husband's family. I don't think this makes sense. Are the wronged souls killed by them looking for someone to reason with? Didn't those who were killed have done no good deeds? Do they need to be blamed for their merits and demerits? The ex-mother-in-law and ex-sister-in-law were not punished, and could get worse. At most he won't go after the heroine, but he will definitely harm other people. Isn't the hero the father of all nations? What about the people who were harmed by those he forgave? There is also a rebellion by the male protagonist's son. He resented himself in his heart. I wonder if he resents himself for being stained with his son's blood, or does he resent himself for costing the lives of tens of thousands of soldiers? If there are both, which one is more painful for him? Based on his previous principles of killing half of the heroine's family without any blood, I think the latter is more painful. But the sixty-year-old male protagonist would not talk to his own son for three years because the son committed suicide. I thought for a moment that the former might be more painful? Anyway, I think the male protagonist is very upset. He himself is stained with the blood of his own brother. It stands to reason that his son who rebelled is already in his forties, which is considered the average age of death. Besides, this kind of thing was his own fault, and he even killed the hero's grandson. Anyway, I think the male protagonist is very unclear. I was really upset with Xu Helin. I remember it was said in the article that the male protagonist never wanted to speak to people he disliked. Then the male protagonist hates fakeness. But in the fourth volume, there are many scenes where the male protagonist feels pity for Lin. Then they slowly ran out of pity. I really don't understand. If the persona is sincere and sincere, and doesn't show any pretense to the people he dislikes, and already knows that they are fake, then how can there be such a thing as pity? Let me think about it. Lin was rude to the heroine. In the end, Lin and the heroine were each punished. Lin seemed to be grounded? Probably not, after all, I saw her jumping around from time to time later. That Lin always comes out and jumps around for comparison, which makes me feel really uncomfortable. I don't need that kind of comparison. I just hope that the male protagonist will tell her earlier so that she can recognize the reality. Come out and jump around at every turn. . . Whenever the male protagonist feels sad, she will come out and jump around. . . Isn't it grounded? There was also the one who was sick and hugged the male protagonist, and then the male protagonist fed him medicine one bite at a time. I was almost deceived by the male protagonist's inner thoughts. I thought I was really afraid that she would get sick and cause trouble. Later, the queen said that it was because the male protagonist still had a trace of pity for Lin, and now the pearls have turned into Yumu pearls. I was really torn after watching it. The saying that many times in the novel spares the bad guys is that if the water is clear, there will be no fish. But I think that if the water is clear, there will be no fish. The range that can be tolerated should be corruption and bribery, and it should not include seeking money and killing people. As an emperor, you let go of those who seek wealth and murder because of many considerations, and the reason is that when the water is clear, there will be no fish. This is outrageous. I haven't seen any bad guys in this article being punished according to law after doing bad things. Basically, they are all punished. The person in this article must have done at least several bad things before he is worthy of being mentioned by the emperor and then threatened with it. How outrageous. You have to say that it is understandable to do this to Queen Chenfei. But the emperor did this to everyone. . . . Concubine Chen killed the male protagonist's father, and then the male protagonist felt that he owed Concubine Chen. Obviously, the ultimate goal of all Concubine Chen's actions is for herself. The male protagonist will feel that he owes Concubine Chen, so why doesn't he feel that all the people owe Concubine Chen? If it weren't for Concubine Chen, would the male protagonist be able to do it on his own? If so, then it wouldn't be a debt. She didn't even discuss it with him. Just give her the reward she wants just like now. But the kind of thing that makes me feel very uncomfortable and say, "I've been paying it back all these years, haven't I?" Makes me feel that this emperor is really aggrieved. Concubine Chen was covered with wounds, and the male protagonist felt that he owed Concubine Chen, so he used his own body to compensate. There are thousands of Yulin troops and thousands of heroes behind the male protagonist. They are also protecting the male protagonist's throne with their lives. Why doesn't the male protagonist give them a noble concubine? Why doesn't the hero give each of them a title? So the male protagonist's statement of "owing" is too aggrieved. I quite like to admire Empress Cao, and I can also accept Concubine Chen, and Shu De is also very funny. But I think Lin and Xu Laoge agreed. I think they are not favored, and they are even more mediocre than Concubine Chen. However, in the article, various adjectives are always used to describe the two people who are recognized as being favored, which makes them feel indescribably uncomfortable. I think Lin was so pampered that his true identity was discovered, and it would only be three months after all. Not to mention Xu. I have always thought that a person who is passionate and sexual should be black or white. But as for the male protagonist, his merits and demerits always balance out his merits and demerits, and he is so chaotic. If he ascended the throne to dedicate himself to the country, to burn his whole life for the country, and to serve all the people. Then he really doesn't owe anyone anything. Alas, there are many suitors of the female protagonist in the article, in order to equalize the concubines of the male protagonist. I can only use these to comfort myself. The writing is really good, and I can't find a replacement sweet article to make up for my hurt heart.
It's beautiful, the characters are all flesh and blood, and the first volume is amazing.
Murong Kang still has the face to blame the emperor for his southern tour? The whole world belongs to the emperor, why can't he go to Huainan? How would I know that you, the Murong family, were doing such filthy and dirty things as you were doing nothing but killing people? Even if the emperor doesn't have trouble patrolling, your whole family will be tortured to death by the Xing family sooner or later. Isn't Murong Kang, the evil spirit, pretending to be a loving person? It's so ironic that he can still live happily with his wife and children.
Although it was fully ordered, I was really anxious to read the first volume and skipped reading it. Maybe it was because I felt sorry for the emperor. Hahaha, chasing a wife is not easy. What's more annoying than the emperor is the mess in Dingrou's family. The beauty is so miserable. I really like her character. My wife's writing is really good. I look forward to the new article.
The flowers are sprinkled at the end! It's awesome, so beautiful.
It's so well written, I hope to see a spin-off soon
